India is an idea that Norm had based around a pedal tone in G. Many
guitarists quickly run out of ideas when faced with this sort of thing,
but not Norm. He uses India to explore many different themes and all
sorts of interesting musical ideas.
Norm is playing his '54 strat through a Roland Cube. It's an interesting
combination. I'm playing my cheap old white strat copy through a 100W
Marshall combo. To simulate a bass guitar, I rolled off all the treble
and cranked the bass on every knob I could find.
India was recorded live at Barnstorm (aka "Finchstock"), a small festival,
held in a barn in Finch Ontario.
